Ganga Rasayanie started in 1971 with a small manufacturing unit at Liluah (Kolkata) with one tone per day batch process distillation for refining Coal Tar and it's by - products. In1974 our second unit was set up at Durgapur mainly concentrating on Coal Tar products. Refining of petroleum products were added latter. In 1978, the third unit at Ankleshwar was established with a capacity of 20 tones per day. In 1990 the Panamgadu unit at Village Ramapuram (Andhra Pradesh) about 55 Km from Chennai was starts with a capacity of 25 tone per day

These units are strategically located to serve our customers much better, quicker and economically. With the growing demand we took our expansion of our Ankleshwar unit in two phases; in 1995, the production capacity was increased to 100 MT per day and to 200MT per day in 2005. With this, the combined production capacity has increase to 90000MT per annum. Both Ankleshwar and Panamgadu unit are running on continuous process and have excellent Production, Quality Control and Storage infrastructures.

Sales has increased during the last three years - from Rs.15.36 Crore in 2002 - 2003 to 24.63 Crore in 2003 - 2004 and 33.33 Crore in 2004 - 2005 and 55 Crore in 2005-06. The company expects sales turnover of Rs. 75 Crore for 2006 - 2007 and Rs. 100 Crore in 2007-08.

Profits before Tax after depreciation are up from Rs 0.22 Crore in 2002-03 to Rs. 0.99 Crore in 2003-04; Rs 2.08 Crore in 2004-05 and Rs. 3.01 Crore in 2005-06

With a targeted turnover of 100 crore in 2007 - 2008 and 200 crore for 2008 - 2009, and increasing international demand, the company plans to increase the production and storage capacities and modernization of Panamgadu & Durgapur unit and to increase the facilities in Ankleshwar by acquisition of new land. We also plan to set up similar refining unit with 200,000 tons p.a. production capacity in South East Asia by 2009-10.
